PUBLIC LECTURE ON ‘PHARMACEUTICAL OPIOID PROBLEMS AND CHANGING TREATMENT NEEDS’

On Monday 7th September 2015 - The CODEMISUSED project hosted a public outreach event in Waterford Institute of Technology, entitled: ‘PHARMACEUTICAL OPIOID PROBLEMS AND CHANGING TREATMENT NEEDS’.

The first part of the Seminar encompassed a 20 minute presentation on the CODEMISUSED project delivered by Dr. Marie Claire Van Hout, CODEMISUSED Principal Investigator and Project Coordinator.

The second part comprised a broader presentation on the topic of pharmaceutical opioid misuse and changing treatment needs, delivered by an invited expert speaker, Dr. Suzanne Nielsen.

Dr. Nielsen is a leading Pharmacy Practitioner, International Scientific Expert and Senior Research Fellow in the addictions field, based at the National Drug and Alcohol Centre, The University of New South Wales (UNSW), one of Australia's leading research and teaching universities.
