Dr Marie Claire Van Hout, WLR FM Radio Interview

In October 2014  - Dr Marie Claire Van Hout who is the CODEMISUSED Principal Investigator & Project Coordinator provided a radio interview to Waterford's local radio station WLR FM, discussing the €2.04 million CODEMISUSED project; offering an insight into its primary goals and objectives in terms of conducting high quality leading edge academic research and providing a set of practical recommendations for industry regarding codeine use, misuse and dependence. Dr Van Hout explains the international cross-border collaborative nature of CODEMISUSED whereby it involves 6 partners comprising 3 academic partners (Waterford Institute of Technology, King's College London and South African Medical Research Council) and 3 industry partners (CARA Pharmacy, Ireland; Weldrick's Pharmacy, UK; and The Local Choice Pharmacy, South Africa). WIT is the lead partner and coordinates the project.
